People invested in the current Caste System vote against their "selfish" interests in order to propagate the system, even if on a lower rung. Why?

- Revolutions often fail
- Even successful revolutions rarely improve most people's situation
- Is the likely benefit greater than the likely cost, especially given great uncertainty?
How do we get people to view their selves and their group identity differently? Coercion? Argument? Persuasion? And how do we guard against the risk of us accidentally making things worse?
